Program:

Day 1, trip to Ancona
Travel from your location to Ancona and embark at around 5:00 p.m. Enjoy your little cruise towards Igoumenitsa. Overnight on board.

Day 2, Kalampaka – Meteora – Delphi
Arrival in Igoumenitsa at 09.00, and continue to Kalampaka. Visit the famous Meteora monasteries built on high sandstone cliffs. The monasteries floating between heaven and earth originated in the 14th century. Visit 2 monasteries and explanations of the importance of Byzantine Orthodox monasticism in Greece and Eastern Europe. Then lunch in one of the many traditional taverns in Kalampaka. Then we visit one of the most famous icon workshops in Greece. Pefkis is very well known, and the Vatican is one of its clients. Dinner and overnight in Delphi.

Day 3, Delphi – Itea – Athens
After breakfast visit Delphi. The place owes its fame to the oracle. We visit the Apollon Temple, the Athenian Treasury, the theater, the stadium and the museum with the famous bronze charioteer. Lunch in Delphi and then drive to our hotel in Athens. Room layout, dinner and overnight in Athens.

Day 4, Athens City – Acropolis – Plaka – Tolo
After breakfast city tour in Athens, we drive over the Omonia and Syntagma square, past the Panathenaic stadium (photo break), the royal castle, Zeus temple, to the Acropolis. Visit to the Propylaea, the Erechtheion, the Temple of Nikes and the Parthenon. Then drive over the Panepistimiou street, past the Schliemann Haus, the academy and the university. Lunch in famous Plaka, the old town of Athens, and then continue to our hotel in Athens. Room layout, dinner and overnight stay in Tolo.

Day 5, Epidaurus – Mycenae – Nafplion – Olympia
Breakfast in hotel and then drive to Epidaurus, the cult and healing center of Asclepius.
Visit to the open air theater and museum, famous for its acoustics.
Continuation of the journey to the castle hill of Mycenae, which was excavated by Heinrich Schliemann at the end of the 19th century. The lion gate, the royal tombs, the palace, the newly created museum and the treasure house of Atreus are visited. Lunch and then drive to Nafplion.
This beautiful city, with its small port, was the first capital of Greece after the liberation. Walk through the small streets, you have the opportunity to enjoy a Greek coffee or a glass of ouzo. In the evening drive to our hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Olympia.

Day 6, Olympia – Patras – Ancona
Breakfast in hotel and then on to Olympia. Visit to the excavation sites of Olympia with the remains of the once mighty Zeus Temple, the older Temple of Hera, the workshop of the famous sculptor Phidias and the sports facilities (Olympic stadium). Afternoon continue to Patras and embarkation.

Day 7, arrival in Ancona
Arrive in Ancona in the morning around 10:00 and continue to your location
