Itinerary:

Day 1: RHODES
Direct charter flight from your point of origin through Athens to Rhodes. Transfer to the hotel. Opportunity to take an orientation tour or walk in the old town and the waterfront and overnight stay.

Day 2: ACROPOLIS OF RHODES, TEMPLE OF APOLLO, PALACE OF THE GRAND MASTER
After breakfast, we will visit the city of Rhodes. We drive by bus through the modern city of Rhodes and the coast to Monte Smith, where we visit the Acropolis of ancient Rhodes, the Temple of Apollo and the stadium. On foot we experience the medieval city and the castle, we visit the Palace of the Grand Master and the Knights Street with the hostels of the seven nations that made up the Order of St. John in the 12th century. The evening is free. You have the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the island in the evening and relax. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: KALLITHEA SPRINGS, ARCHANGELOS, LINDOS
Today we take a day trip to the east coast. This is certainly one of the highlights of the visit to Rhodes. Our first stop will be made at a picturesque location, landscaped by the Italians, Kallithea Springs. Then we visit a beautifully situated village in an orange growing region, Archangelos. The main sight of the day is of course Lindos. We visit the Acropolis with the ruins of the Temple of Lindia Athinea. The view from the acropolis of Lindos is overwhelming. You can see the harbour of St. Paul and below you is the gleaming white village of Lindos with its maze of narrow streets, red-tiled roofs, etc. On the way down from the Acropolis you have the opportunity to visit the 13th century, Mother of God Church. The interior is decorated with beautiful frescoes. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to stroll through the village and to swim in the crystal clear waters of the Bay of Lindos and to bask in the beautiful beach. The evening is free.

Day 4: IALYSSOS, FILERIMOS, KAMIROS
In the morning we take the bus by the west coast of the island along to the village Ialyssos (Trianta), and then get off at Filerimos – mountain, where we will visit the ruins of the ancient Acropolis of Ialyssos, the Temple of Athena and of Zeus. From here you have a panoramic view of the plains of Trianta (Ialyssos). The “Valley of the Butterflies” is a beautiful, heavily wooded valley with small streams and rustic bridges. The valley is filled with thousands of butterflies (July to September). The ancient Kamiros is one of the archaeological sites in Greece, where you can visit a large number of buildings and monuments dating from the Hellenistic period. The evening is free. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: SYMI, PANORMITIS
We visit the small island of Symi, which is north of Rhodes. After a two-hour drive close to the picturesque harbour of Gialos is your first acquaintance with Symi. A stroll through the narrow streets of the port will fascinate you. And after another hour drive we arrive at Panormitis with the beautiful and interesting Monastery of Archangel Michael. The evening is free. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: OPTIONAL EXCURSION TO SOUTHERN RHODES
On today’s optional excursion, we discover the rarely-visited south and southwest of the island. Landmark of this lonely coast is the mighty St. John – Castle of Monolithos. Past the highest peaks, the bald Attaviros (1.215m) and the wooded prophet Iliad, we return to the hotel in the afternoon. On our way we make a detour to the Byzantine church of St. Nikolaos with its medieval frescoes. The evening is free. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: PASTIDA, TRADITIONAL DINNER
At 18:00 we have a worthwhile trip and then folklore evening in the village of Pastida (as of 19:00 – 22:00 clock). By bus, we drive to the village of Pastida, where you have the opportunity to visit some old houses and the village church. Then you can enjoy a good dinner with unlimited wine (red or white). During the meal folk dances are demonstrated and then you can dance too.

Day 8: RETURN HOME
In the morning after breakfast transfer to the airport and return to your point of origin.
