Special program for groups with limited mobility
After the 2004 Olympics, Greece is Europe’s first destination not only for discerning travellers, but also for people with disabilities. We give people with mobility problems the possibility of a tour with your family in Greece.

Our coaches
We offer you a special Setra bus that is specifically designed for the accommodation of tourists and passengers with reduced mobility.
Equipped with rear ramp, electronically and mechanically actuated to allow easy and convenient entrances, it can carry up to 16 wheelchairs and 20 passengers.
At the same time of course, we offer hotel rooms with special rooms for people with disabilities, as well as restaurants and taverns that are easily accessible.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival
Flights from your place of origin to Thessaloniki. Welcome by our tour guide, followed by a city tour of Thessaloniki, the capital of Northern Greece, which was declared by UNESCO as Cultural Capital in 1997. We then have a visit of Agios Dimitrios with its catacombs and the beautiful church of Agia Sofia, then onward to the northern part of the city and the famous castles of the old city. Afterwards drive to our hotel in Thessaloniki, check in and have dinner. We stay at the hotel for 3 nights

Day 2: Kavala – Lydia – Philippi
After breakfast, we have a day trip to Kavala. In Kavala we visit Lydia, Lydia is the place where the Apostle Paul, baptized the first Christian woman on European soil. Continue to Philippi, the first congregation of the Apostle Paul (Roman Agora, Theater, Basilicas). At lunch time we have some free time in the city of Kavala; then we go on to the port of the city for a cup of Greek coffee or lunch. In the afternoon we return to our hotel in Thessaloniki. Dinner and overnight stay in Thessaloniki.

Day 3: Veria – Vergina – Vermio
After breakfast we start our journey to Veria. We visit the site where Apostle Paul preached. We continue to Vergina, which is known around the world for the royal tombs discovered only 30 years ago. These unique findings at the grave of Phillip, father of Alexander the Great, let us assume that Vergina (formerly Aiges), was the first capital of Macedonia. We continue to Vermio, to the monastery of Panagia Soumela. This monastery has one of the three most important icons of orthodoxy, the icon of the Virgin Mary. This monastery was built by Greek refugees from the Black Sea region to Greece in 1913. They brought the icon from the mountains of Matsouka (Turkey), from the same monastery on Mount Mela. In the evening we return to our hotel in Thessaloniki, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Thessaloniki – Athens
After breakfast, we leave Thessaloniki, and make our way to Vrachati.
Our way is through Katerini and Mount Olympus. Lunch break at the tempi and then proceed to Vrachati on the south part of Greece. Check-in at Vrachati, room distribution and dinner. We stay at this hotel for 4 nights.

Day 5: Athens – Acropolis – Acropolis Museum
After breakfast we drive to Athens, guided tour of the city of Athens. We drive over the Omonia- and Syntagma Squares, past the Panathenaic Stadium (photo stop), in 1896, the first modern Olympic Games were held, we then pass the Royal Palace, Temple of Zeus, towards the Acropolis Museum. Visit and head towards the Acropolis visit the Propylaea, the Erechtheum, temple of Nike and the Parthenon. Then drive on University Road, past Schliemann’s House, the Academy and the University. In the afternoon we return to the hotel in Vrachati. After dinner we stay in Vrachati.

Day 6: Free day
This day is for leisure, or for swimming in Vrachati. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Vrachati.

Day 7: Corinth canal – Epidaurus – Ancient Corinth – Mycenae
Morning drive to Corinth Canal (world famous and was built at the end of the previous century artificial connection between the Saronic Gulf and the Gulf of Corinth) 15 minute photo stop. We continue the trip to Ancient Corinth. We visit the Ancient site, Agora, the Temple and the Museum. We go past vineyards and ancient, gnarled olive trees we reach Epidaurus, the shrine and Treatment Centre of Asclepius. Visit the museum and theater, famous for its acoustics. Many summer festivals take place here (Festival of Epidaurus). We continue to Mycenae. Visit the well-preserved Cyclopean walls, the Royal Tombs, and the magnificent Lions Gate, the earliest form of monumental sculpture in Europe. Here, the German archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann began (in 1874) its excavations and discovered the Royal Tombs of the House of Atreus and their huge hoards of gold. Return to Athens to our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Athens.

Day 8: Return flight
After breakfast, transfer to Athens airport, and fly back to your point of origin.
